Internet of Things solutions in the Johan Cruijff ArenA

With the help of the Internet of Things, the Johan Cruijff ArenA is expected to save considerably on its energy and maintenance costs in the coming years. By carefully measuring the state in which different parts of the stadium are located, it is no longer necessary to schedule regular periodic maintenance, or to intervene when something is broken.

On the basis of computer calculations, maintenance can take place when predictions show that there are problems. BAM has been involved in the Arena since the construction of the stadium and Honeywell, which controls and installs the sensors, also acts as a strategic partner.

In June 2016, the ArenA also received smart LED lights from Signify. The slightly brighter lighting ensures that there is no hitch during slow motion pictures on television.
